From 28 June 2025, all private companies that offer digital products and services to consumers must ensure full compliance with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EU Directive 2019/882) and Italian legislation (Stanca Law, L. 4/2004, updated). The AgID Guidelines establish clear criteria, with no possibility of exceptions related to development times: upon expiry, the site or app must be fully accessible.
Ignoring these provisions means:
- Lose up to 20% of earning potential, excluding users with specific needs.
- Suffering reputational damage, resulting in unethical and not inclusive.
- Expose yourself to penalties of up to 5% of annual revenue and to individual or collective legal actions.
